Fresh uses for Twitter

Think Twitter is just an amusing time-waster? More and more folks are coming up with incredibly smart and relevant new uses for this simple Web 2.0 tool.

This page is for you to:

  • vote for your own favorite links about new and smart uses of Twitter, and to
  • discover the world's most influential and important Twitter feeds that you should be following.

All the links are in "plexos," which means you can vote on 'em and add your own suggestions.

Do you have a must read Twitter feed? Add it! (And include a line about why we should follow you.)

Five non-obvious ways to use Twitter

(If you have more, write them in the guestbook & I'll add them here!)

These are some of the ways I'm playing with Twitter to do something other than let everyone know when I'm out of toilet paper. I'd love to hear about yours, too.
  • Twitter sharpens my copywriting skills--getting a point across in 200 characters tends to strip a lot of needless junk out of one's writing.
  • Twitter helps me stay in front of my customers and readers.
  • Sometimes even reading my RSS feeds just takes too much time and energy, but I can always spare a glance at Twitter.
  • I always know where Hugh McLeod is flying next week.
  • I find new stuff to blog about and follow up on. It's a little waterfall of new ideas delivered fresh to my computer every second.
